Amongst the large number of publications by Laurie & Whittle there is one of particular interest to collectors of English maps. It is Laurie & Whittle's New Traveller's Companion which is a road atlas published in 1806. The atlas has a general map of England and a series of twenty-five road maps. The lengthy titles appear abobe each map. These maps have a centre fold usually found with original hand colouring. It appears that the atlas sold well at time as there were further editons.
