Engraved notes and coats of arms on both sides. 4 1/2 x 7 14 inches. Attractive hand colouring. Very small repair to an area which is blank on both sides. No bottom blank marin on side 55.

Large scale map - 6 inches to 1 Mile. Shows in great detail around the area of Bidston, Wallasey, Poulton, New Brighton, Liscard, Egremont and Seacombe. Over the River Mersey it shows a section from Linacre in the north to James Street and Lord Street in Liverpool. In 10 sections and mounted on linen, folding. Some areas with early blue wash hand colouring. Small old red ink in smudge near the bottom margin otherwise good condition. Some 36 1/2 x 24 inches plus blank borders. Latest date in the bottom blank margin is 1882.

A MAP OF CHESHIRE
An interesting engraved map of the county that doies not come stock too often. The title appears across the top outside of the map area. Scale and compass pointer. 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 plus a panel of text in three columns below listing the the City and 12 Market Towns. Original outline and wash hand colouring. As can be seen from the photograph the map has been in a sunk mount and framed for many years hence the change in colour and brown line in the blank margin.

AN ACCURATE MAP OF THE COUNTY PALATINE OF CHESTER, Divided into its Hundreds....
A fine large engraved map of the county embellished with a pictorial title cartouche and a rococo dedication cartouche bearing the name and arms of the Earl of Cholmondley. Around the map are the typical engraved historical and descriptive notes of Bowen. Imprint of John Bowles, Carington Bowles and Robert Sayer. 27 1/2 x 21 inches. Hand coloured. Framed some years ago in black and gilt hogarth moulding. The frame is still in quite good order. The map appears to be very flat so it has possibly dry mounted before being framed by J. Davey & Sons, 70 Bridge Street, Manchester.

A fine detailed map of the county with compass rose, explanation and list of hundreds. 20 x 17 3/4 inches. Fine original outline and wash hand colouring. Good condition with wide margins. The map appears to have been dry mounted and is currently in a 3 inch green sunk mount so is all ready for framing.

An engraved map of the county embellished with a title cartouche showing the figures of a man, woman and child with Cheshire Cheeses. A second cartouche with two putti and hares shows the two scales. Four other putti support a garland of seven coats of arms. Compass rose and ship on the River Dee. 19 3/4 x 15 inches. Early hand colouring. Latin text on verso. In a double glazed 3 /4 hogarth frame. Framed many years ago but with a little touching up would be fine.
Note: The light mark to the north of Frodsham is just caused by photographing the map under glass.

It is difficult to put an accurate date of publication on this map. Cruchley’s address on the map is 81 Fleet Street and it is recorded that Cruchley was at this address from 1833 to 1875.

An engraved county map. Title panel. Compass pointer and scale. 13 3/4 x 9 inches. Hand coloured. The map was mounted in a dark green sunk mount some years ago. The reason can be seen on lifting the map. The blank margins of the map are very narrow and the bottom margin has a ragged edge. The mount hides the name of the engraver Samuel Neele. Looking at the map in the mount it looks quite presentable and is read to be frames.

A uncommon large folding town plan of Liverpool with part of the Wirral coast showing Birkenhead and Bebington. Presented in an engraved decorative border with anchors at each corner. The map measures some 77 x 59 inches and is mounted with 40 sections on heavy canvas. The front and back when folded are titled LIVERPOOL. The out covers show some wear byt generally the map is in nice clean undamaged condition.
